Do you think it's important to research the rock formations of investigation sites and cross-reference the info against incidents of paranormal activity?

Bear with me here because I am writing this from memory on a subject that I just discovered.

I saw a documentary on tv the other day on how they used Paleomagnetism to show that Africa, Brazil and Hudson River areas were all connected millions of years ago.  When the rock was forming, the crystals aligned to the pole at the time and formed a signature (for lack of a better word).  And these four points in the Hudson River area, Brazil (or somewhere in South America but I am pretty sure it was Brazil), the west coast of Africa and someplace in Europe all were together at some point in the past because they all have the same paleomagnetic signature.

I have downloaded a few articles with exciting titles like "Modular Approaches to Earth Science Scientific Computing: 3D Electronmagnetic Induction Modeling as an Example."  While interesting, it made me wonder if the paranormal community is consolidating a library of what types of rock formations are most prone to paranormal activity.

I have heard the Ghosthunters show reference that granite is supposedly more conductive than other types of rock.  I am just wondering if every team that bothers to measure that kind of detail is re-inventing the wheel every time or is some of this data being consolidated somewhere and then reviewed by a geo-magnetic expert.

I think its absolutely relevant to research the geological are of an investigation!
Limestone is another one under the microscope.

I'll have to look up a few articles myself....

I found a good one by the Long Island Paranormal Investigators by their founder Michael Cardinuto

http://www.liparanormalinvestigators.com/rocks.shtml

Here's the conclusion:

"Conclusion

If there is any truth behind the theory that Limestone, Magnetite, and/or Quartz can generate a residual haunting, I would think that Quartz and Magnetite best fits that profile. Long Island Paranormal Investigators is currently researching this theory. We are in contact with the USGS to answer any of our questions, and to look at their field surveys on certain locations that have been said to have residual hauntings, such as the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park Colorado, and Gettysburg Battlefield in Pennsylvania."
